Apple Unveils Its Thinnest New MacBook Along With A Collection Of Apple Watches
Apple has just revealed its new MacBook—its thinnest notebook measuring at just 13.1mm at it’s thickest point, and weighing just two pounds.
Doing away with the 11 and 13-inch displays, the new MacBook will be available in only one size—a 12-inch, 2304 x 1440 Retina display.
The new MacBook also comes with new specially designed batteries that will ensure an “all-day battery life”.
Another notable change is its new ‘USB-C’ port, which is one-third the size of its current USB port. It can be used for charging, speedy USB 3 data transfer, and video output.
It comes brilliantly in a new gold color, space grey and silver, with two different specifications—one with a 1.1GHz Intel Core M processor, 8GB of RAM, and 265GB of flash storage, starting at US$1,299. The other has a 1.2GHz processor, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage, retailing at US$1,599.
Both versions are set to hit the stores this 10 April 2015.
The Apple Watch was another product unveiled today at the Apple event in San Francisco, California.
It comes in three distinctive collections—the ‘Apple Watch’ in stainless steel, the ‘Apple Sport’, and the ‘Apple Edition’ in 18-karat gold cases.
It works in conjunction with your iPhone, making communicating with loved ones more convenient—allowing users to send fun messages to each other.
It is also a personal fitness tracker, giving real-time statistics by measuring your activity and fitness levels.
You can pre-order them on 10 April 2015, and they will be hitting various stores starting 24 April 2015.
Head over to Apple’s website to learn more about the new MacBook, and Apple Watch.
